Phil Beale

Hi, I’m Phil Beale and I’m delighted to be offering my Reiki therapy at the wonderful Beehive!

As a person, I have always been fascinated by spiritual healing. Having myself had direct experience of the spiritual, emotional and physical relief it can bring, I decided to train in the art with my Reiki Master Sarah Pickles. Ultimately I intend to teach professionally, thus enabling me to train others in Reiki therapy and The Beehive is a wonderful base from which to work in that endeavour.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation which promotes healing. The Japanese word Reiki is from two words – Rei meaning “Universal wisdom” and Ki meaning “Life-force energy,” so Reiki translates as “Universal Life-force energy.” The technique feels like a wondrous glowing radiance that flows through and around you, treating the whole body, emotions, mind and spirit.

Most of us have heard of Reiki, but few people know the benefits that Reiki can bring to us. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates beneficial effects including relaxation, feelings of peace, security and well-being.

A Reiki treatment always begins with a consultation conversation, following which the client is positioned in comfort and warmth on a therapy couch. The Reiki is then administered, in some positions ‘hands-on,’ in others by working within the client’s energy field or ‘Aura’ a few inches away from their body. The treatment is based on assessing and balancing the unseen energy centres, sometimes called Chakras, which are positioned at various points around the body. Reiki flows into the recipient at different levels, sometimes feeling warm, sometimes cold, sometimes giving a tingling sensation. Some people feel the effect immediately, with others it can take a few minutes before they feel the energy flow.

Commonly reported well-being improvements can include simply reducing stress and improving sleep patterns, right through to reducing the symptoms of cancer and the side-effects of its conventional treatment. In fact Reiki is now acknowledged in NHS and international research as “helpful in improving well-being, relaxation, pain relief, sleep quality and reducing anxiety.” *

At the very least a Reiki treatment will provide an hour of total relaxation and comfort and a therapeutic release from the everyday stresses and strains of modern life.

So I’m thrilled to be able to bring this wonderful, safe and natural therapy to clients at The Beehive. Since qualifying I’ve had some fantastic feedback from those that I’ve assisted and I’ve attached some testimonials below:

“I walked into Phil’s Reiki session full of the stresses and anxieties of my world and within ten minutes I was in a totally different place. I can honestly say I walked out without a care in the world. Everything just seems to calm

down after one of Phil’s Reiki sessions and I couldn’t recommend him enough.

Julie, Widnes”

“A thoroughly relaxing experience, I felt soothed and chilled out. My aches and pains melted away.

Mrs H Howlett, Henstridge”
