What is it and what I can expect?
Clients attend because they are struggling with daily intense anxious feelings, which can also be intense fears and are often accompanied with physical symptoms like restlessness, difficulties in concentration, experiencing nausea, stomach upset, rapid heart beat and breathing.
Some of the clients experience depressive symptoms such as being unusually sad or having irritable mood that doesn't go away, a lack of energy, persistent tiredness and intense guilt feelings. This can result in feeling worthless, thinking about death and wishing to be dead.
An individual session lasts for 50 minutes and is £60 to £70.

What is it best for?
This form of therapy is helpful in getting to know yourself and make the most of your life.
It is also suitable for a range of issues which may include:
- Recent and past trauma linked to abuse
- Problems with relationships leading to conflicts at home, in work or in education
- Psychological problems such as recurrent anxiety and depression
- Problems related to past difficulties, for example in our family or childhood, which affect how we think, feel or behave now
- Eating Disorders
- Persistent bodily symptoms, for example headaches, if medical causes have been investigated and treated
- Problems with self-esteem
Having these difficult feelings and thoughts have an impact and often result in relationship problems which then reinforces the ongoing cycle of darkness, being stuck and engaging in destructive behaviours either towards themselves or others. Often these clients have tried different approaches with little or no relief.
Attending a course of psychotherapy makes the clients feel empowered, being in control of their actions as well as a reduction of their psychological issues. These clients have learned strategies to manage stressful life events, resulting in feeling content and enjoying life again.
