What is it and what I can expect?
Psychosexual Therapy is specialist therapy specifically designed to help people living with difficulties that are of a psychological, sexual nature and that are too difficult or complex to be resolved on their own.
The sessions needed will vary and can depend on the type of difficult you are having and its severity. Usually following assessment I can give you a better indication of how long therapy may take, typically it can be between 5 and 20 sessions, this can be reviewed as therapy progresses. The first appointment would be an initial assessment to discuss your needs and the different options for therapy.
Information you provide during a therapy session is confidential, it however you tell me something that indicates you may be in danger or at risk, or that other people may be at risk of harm, the I would have a professional duty to inform another professional, usually your GP.
What is it best for?
- Problems with desire and arousal

- Difficulties reaching orgasm
- Difficulties keen an erection
- Premature or delayed ejaculation
- Problems with intimacy
