Stoptober is an annual campaign that encourages smokers to quit for 31 days, starting on October 1st and lasting the entire month. The campaign provides a supportive environment for participants, making it easier to face the challenges of quitting together. By quitting for just one month, you’ll experience the immediate and long-term health benefits of living smoke-free.

How it works:

  1. Pledge to Quit: Take the pledge to quit smoking for the entire month of October. Your commitment matters! This pledge will allow you access to direct support from Cheshire West’s Go SmokeFree Team.
  2. Prepare Yourself: Access resources and support to prepare yourself mentally and emotionally for the challenge ahead.
  3. Stay Motivated: Throughout October, receive daily motivational emails, access our social media community, and attend virtual support events too.
  4. Celebrate Your Success: At the end of Stoptober, celebrate your achievements and consider extending your smoke-free journey beyond October.
  5. Help Us Reach More People: You’ll be encouraged to submit feedback about your experience too, and have the opportunity to become one of our very own GoSmokeFree resident champions!

📞 Advice and Support: Access to our dedicated stop smoking team, who are experts in providing personalised support and advice to help you quit. You’re twice as likely to quit when you access our service, than going it alone.

💊 Access To FREE Products To Help You Quit: By signing up to our programme you can receive up to 12 weeks of free evidence based stop smoking support products like patches, gum and lozenges to help you start your journey.
